RASHARD W. SMITH

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rashard W. Smith seems to have been born with a sketch pad and drawing pencil in his hand.  Currently, enrolled as a junior, Painting Major, at the prestigious Kansas City Institute of Art, in Kansas City, MO, and having studied for two years at the Kentucky College of Art + Design, Rashard works in many different mediums, including acrylic, charcoal, ink, and graphite.   In 2016 he created 502Arts to showcase his work. At the young age of 21, he is already in demand being the featured artist at Greek Fraternity events showcasing his customized Greek Artwork. His full spectrum of work was featured in June 2018 at Avenue E Art Gallery, Louisville, Kentucky.

Besides studying under the tutelage of talented faculty, Rashard’s talent has also caught the eye of world-renowned Artist, Synthia SAINT JAMES, who he has personally studied under.  

Rashard is available to speak to elementary school-high school art students who are facing challenges like dyslexia or visual disorders.
